Meet Dr. Matt Wentzell
Dr. Matt Wentzell is a highly accomplished Doctor of Chiropractic with extensive expertise in sports injury care, rehabilitation sciences, and performance optimization. With a practice grounded in evidence-based, athlete-centered care, Dr. Wentzell has become a trusted provider for both elite and recreational athletes across Canada.
Originally from Nova Scotia, Dr. Wentzell completed his Bachelor of Kinesiology at Acadia University, graduating with Acadian Scholar distinction. He went on to earn his Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating Cum Laude with Clinical Honours. His clinical internship included valuable placements in both public health and rehabilitation hospital settings, further shaping his comprehensive approach to care.
Driven by lifelong learning, Dr. Wentzell later completed his Master of Rehabilitation Sciences (MSc) at the University of British Columbia and attained Fellowship status with the Royal College of Chiropractic Sport Sciences (Canada), a designation held by fewer than 150 chiropractors nationwide.

He has been a therapy provider for the BC Lions (CFL) since 2016, Team Canada’s Women’s Indoor Volleyball Team since 2022, and currently serves as the Varsity Chiropractor for Capilano University’s Athletics Program since 2024.
